Karma

Day 7 – Some people say that karma is a bitch, and I know what they mean. They are talking about payback, or reaping what we sow. Occasionally our past catches up to us and hands us a present that we really don’t want.

What we all should be doing is sowing good seeds, so we can reap a good harvest of blessings on down the line. As I stated in yesterday’s meditation, if we do good deeds now we will inherit many good deeds from others in the future. Now that sounds good.

In the first part of my life, I did a lot of damage, not only to others but to myself as well. I try to work off some bad karma now, so later on it will be easier. As a result, I have made some amends over the last few years.

Fortunately, I learned many of my lessons a long time ago, and I have been making slow progress since I began. I know how to go through life peacefully now, and spread some light and love instead of wrecking everything and every person in my path. I am not Hurricane Steve any longer; I do thank God for that, for I could not have done it without His help.

Meditation for today: Karma is God’s way of dealing out justice. I personally believe we sometimes have to correct some wrongs that our ancestors did. We really do reap what they sowed sometimes.

Have you ever heard of a generational curse? The sins of the fathers and mothers have a way of being passed on to their children, and many generations are affected.

Prayer for today: God, help me to plant good seeds so I can reap a crop of goodness and peace.
