Day 12 – According to Dictionary.com intuition is direct perception of truth, fact, etc., independent of any reasoning process. Some of us have an abundance of intuition, but we all have it to an extent. It often helps us know what to do, or how to proceed in times of uncertainty. Sometimes we say we have a “gut feeling” about something. This refers to intuition.
Intuition is also something that gets stronger if we use it. We need to trust our hunches and pay attention to what our gut is telling us. Sometimes it can be very subtle, but we can still go with it, and often we will find it can save us from making mistakes.
Meditation also helps us to be more intuitive. It allows us to turn off our ego brain for a while, and we can turn inward. This turning inward is very good for us. We need to think less and feel more. It is not easy sometimes but it is worth the time and effort.
Simply paying attention to what is going on also helps our intuition. I need to be aware of what I can see around me, what I hear, what I smell, and what I feel. If I intentionally notice all I can then the intuition puts things in perspective in ways that I do not really understand, but it makes a big difference.
I also need to create often, and allow my mind to come up with things and solve problems, that gets my subconscious working, and that is where my intuition is coming from. My subconscious knows more than my consciousness does.
Spending time outdoors alone with Mother Nature can also quiet our mind down so we can listen to what comes from the inside for a change. We can get in touch with our true selves, and ground ourselves.
Meditation for today: We can trust our intuition if we fine-tune it by using it often.
Prayer for today: God, help me to look inside for my answers, and trust You to teach me what I need to know by giving me insight.
