Democrat candidate Blair Walsingham is still demanding a debate with Republican Diana Harshbarger, but still is unwilling to debate with me. Is that hypocritical or what?
“I want to debate my opponent, but she refuses. If Diana expects a coronation, she should think again. My policies have support across political lines. Running for Congress requires courage to face voters, opponents, and to speak on the floor of the House of Representatives to stand up for you. Whatever her excuse, it’s not just me. Diana also refused to participate in GOP debates before the primary. That’s not transparency,” Blair said.
So here is an open letter to Blair Walsingham.
So, you want a debate to get your message out, Blair? Debate me. in person, online, I don’t care. If your policies are so great that the world will change for the better when you get your message out then here is a great chance. Debate me, and I am sure Diana will learn of it. You talk a lot about transparency, but you keep denying that I am here. Blair, you want a debate? I will give you a debate. Do you also expect a coronation? You have the support of several far-left organizations. Some of your supporters even embrace socialist or Marxist ideas, and you suck up to them, but what about the average citizen of Northeast Tennessee? Do you care about the majority of our conservative constituency? They matter, too. Stop pretending you have the moral high ground when you are as cowardly as she is. Just because you are a rock star among the local Marxist crowd doesn’t mean you are the stuff. I will give you a debate. Just say when.
How many times have I stated publicly that I will debate either of them, or both of them? This is a good example of the corruption of our entire two-party electoral system. They can choose to ignore and disrespect any Independent or third-party candidate. It is unfair and does not serve the voters well.
The local media, is also part of the problem. They will not give any time to Independent candidates, let alone equal time. That needs to change.
I say it is time for a debate between the three of us, if not all three then I will debate either of them separately. The people deserve a debate. For all you local media people out there, this is a shout-out to you also. Would you sponsor and insist on a debate? It is the right thing to do.
